Chris Bourne joined Guaranty Bank & Trust in 2023 as Austin Area Chairman. He brings more than 30 years of banking leadership experience in Austin’s highly competitive market, with a strong track record of building teams, growing market presence, and delivering results in community banking. Prior to joining Guaranty, Chris held senior leadership roles including Central Texas Regional President, Chief Lending Officer, and Market President for national, regional, and local banking organizations throughout the Austin area. A native of Dallas, Chris earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 1991 and later received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas. Chris is actively involved in a variety of community and professional organizations and attends Northwest Community Church. He and his wife, Meshelle, live in Central Austin and have two daughters, both graduates of The University of Texas. A native of Dallas, Chris graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, where he was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree. Chris is also a graduate of The University of Texas at Dallas School of Management where he earned a Master of Business Administration degree. Currently, Chris is actively involved in a variety of community and professional organizations including the Austin Stone Community Church, as well as other local charitable organizations. He and his wife, Meshelle, live in Central Austin and have two daughters who are both Longhorns as well.
