30th Annual Dallas Mayor’s Back to School Fair

Guaranty Bank & Trust is proud to once again sponsor the 30th Annual Dallas Mayor’s Back to School Fair

Guaranty Bank & Trust is proud to once again sponsor the 30th Annual Dallas Mayor’s Back to School Fair, continuing its long-standing dedication to education, community engagement, and expanding financial literacy across North Texas.

Hosted by Mayor Eric Johnson, the Back to School Fair will take place on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Fair Park, welcoming thousands of Dallas students and families for a day focused on preparing for a successful school year. For three decades, this signature event has provided essential school supplies, resources, and encouragement—helping equip children with the tools they need to thrive academically.

This year marks Guaranty Bank & Trust’s fourth consecutive year as a sponsor, underscoring the bank’s mission of Growing Strong Communities by investing in youth, education, and accessible financial learning opportunities.

“At Guaranty Bank & Trust, we believe that supporting students and families is one of the most meaningful ways we can strengthen our communities,” said Mike Merritt, Dallas Market President. “The Mayor’s Back to School Fair has become a cornerstone event for Dallas, and we’re honored to continue partnering with the City to help families start the school year with confidence.”

Expanding Access to Financial Literacy

As part of its continued support, Guaranty Bank & Trust will once again host an interactive financial literacy booth designed to engage attendees of all ages. Families can participate in hands-on activities that make learning about money management both fun and approachable.

The bank’s popular mascot, Cash, will also return—greeting families, handing out prizes, and helping create a memorable experience throughout the day. To help students gear up for the new school year, Guaranty Bank & Trust will distribute an array of school supplies, and families will have the chance to enter an exclusive door prize drawing at the booth.

“Financial education opens doors for families, and we’re excited to bring an experience that’s both informative and enjoyable,” said Chris Lawless, DFW Regional President. “Our goal is to connect with families in a way that empowers them and supports their long-term success.”

A Continued Commitment to Community

Guaranty Bank & Trust remains deeply committed to supporting educational initiatives and strengthening communities across Texas. Through partnerships like the Dallas Mayor’s Back to School Fair, the bank continues to invest in opportunities that uplift families today while helping prepare the next generation for a brighter future.

We look forward to another impactful year at the Back to School Fair and to continuing what matters most—supporting the communities where we live and work.
